Why apply for this program?

Increase your sites’ systemic proficiency in leveraging digital tools for learning
Increase educational leaders’ capacity to support digital literacy site-wide
Participate in Communities of Practice (COP) to amplify successful models of digital literacy instruction with like-minded educators from diverse schools & districts
Access a toolkit for creating a three year strategic plan on implementing digital literacy & equity
Join our second cohort!
The following considerations are necessary in order to make the most of shiftED.
Form a team from your site and/or district consisting of at least one administrator and 1-3 teachers or other school staff.
Ensure you have site/district leadership support.
Be available for all dates and times of synchronous trainings.
Allot time between sessions for team work and building out a Digital Literacy Roadmap.
Prepare to share your learnings and findings with your peers.
Estimated Time Commitment to the Project
10 hours of hybrid professional learning through a Kick-Off, Deep Dive, and job-alike topics focused digital literacy competencies in the classroom and school sites. This includes 2 face to face meetings (location TBD) and 8 virtual.
5 Community of Practice Network Meetings to share promising practices
Ongoing support to build and guide a Digital Literacy Roadmap
4 hour exhibit to share work with the community
10 additional hours to dedicated team work time to complete your Digital Literacy strategic plan
For non-leadership staff it is encouraged that you provide honorariums
